TRANSFER RUMOURS
Milan Ponder Fernando Morientes Move - Report
According to Goal.com, Milan could be set to make a surprise move for Valencia striker Fernando Morientes at the end of the season.
"The Spanish hitman has been at the Mestalla since 2006, but he has not been offered a new deal by the club. His current terms expire in June, and he will be free to join another team on a free transfer.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the former Real Madrid man is being monitored by Carlo Ancelotti and Milan as the club attempts to strengthen ahead of next season.
With the Champions League looking likely next season, the Rossoneri are planning to add more firepower up front. In addition, the free deal will fall in line with the club's transfer policies. Vice president Adriano Galliani has already revealed that spending on major scales would be curbed in order to keep the books balanced.
The striker would be a welcome addition at the San Siro as he has plenty of European experience which will come in handy if the Rossoneri qualify for Europe's top club competition"
